Hailing from Minnneapolis, this trio has been at it for over 10 years and it shows. Their sound recalls at times the indie jazz of Karate and Tortoise, the rhythmic interplay of Faraquet and Don Cabellero, and Shellac’s dissonance. New album “Epistemology” out now.

In July 2006, drummer Brian Heitzman left the band and has since been replaced by Ben Johnston (Claire de Lune). The new formation spent a week in November 2006 again recording with Carl Amburn (Traindodge, Riddle of Steel). The new album SELF-EVIDENT was released in May 2007 to critical acclaim. In 2008, self-evident will release an EP on Japanese label, StiffSlack, and will begin recording a new album in the Fall for release in 2009. The band continues to tour the Midwest and beyond. Spring Tour 2008 dates are listed to the right.
