SUBMISSION POLICY:

I am always interested in checking out new music in just about any genre. But keep in mind, you should be famiiar with the type of music I've released before you send something. Don't search record labels and send me a copy of your disc, if you cite Limp Bizkit, Dave Matthews, or etc as your influences. Know who you're approaching. I don't need a promo photo or 10 page bio about how you met in high school and went through 8 drummers from 2000-2004. If I want to know more, I will check out your website or contact you. Please be patient as I try to listen to everything sent to me, but it often takes me a while to get to things. If I like it, I’ll let you know. Otherwise, it’s up to you to follow up on anything sent. I’m happy to offer my opinion on your band, good or bad. That said, just because I like it doesn’t mean you are home free. I WILL ONLY WORK WITH BANDS WITH A HISTORY OF TOURING & ARE PREPARED TO WORK EXTREMELY HARD. The one piece of advice I can offer any band is that touring is the single, most important element to the success of a band. Many people think that being on a label equals instant success. Maybe if you sign to Sub Pop or Matador, but not doubleplusgood. If you are a band that constantly tours, a label will find you.

TRADING SHOWS
If you are a touring band looking for a show, dpg bands are always looking to trade shows whenever possible. I’ll be happy to put you in touch with any of the bands. Please have an idea of what the band you’re looking to trade with sounds like before contacting me, because the goal is to put both bands in front of people that will potentially like the music of each band. So if you’re a folk singer, chances are that your crowd won’t be into a band like Self-Evident. You get my point. P.S. I love folk music.
